Northwoods Cradle Song

In this picture book, Douglas Wood has adapted a Menominee lullaby to show how the world gradually goes to sleep as night arrives. The rhyming text is simple but elegant, and the oil painting illustrations by Lisa Desimini, though somewhat primitive, add to the simplicity of the story.
